In California’s summer dry climate, automatic irrigation systems are essential.  Our irrigation systems will provide plants with much needed water in the heat, and also conserve water.  An automatic irrigation system means efficient use of water and minimum maintenance spent on your garden since our controller waters your plants. 

 

When your irrigation system is designed, we do it in a way that will make sense for the needs of your garden, your budget, and your long-term maintenance.  We design a custom system for each client and we choose our products based on cost and practicality.

 

As part of your automatic irrigation system we will mount an automatic controller, for you to set or change at your convenience.  The controllers we install will be able to run multiple programs at the times you specify and can even be programmed to adjust for more water in the hotter months of summer, and less water for the cooler months of winter.  

 

A quality irrigation system will include:

• Schedule 40 for all pipe, mainline, and laterals

• Install sprinkles with head to head coverage

• Install anti-syphon valves 12” higher than the highest head, for water safety

• Irrigation zones are laid out according to sun, shade, or similar plant water needs

• Extra wire to valve nests

• Water proof wire connectors to all electric valves

• Primer and glue all joints

• Install valves to ensure easy repair and exchange

• Install heads 1.5 inches from hardscape or benderboard

• Install pressure reducers and filters on drip systems

• Use minimum 18 ga. Irrigation control wire

• Installation of shut off valves before each manifold
